Public Realm Strategy – Abu Dhabi Island / Mainland and Al Ain

The PRDM is an essential, Emirate-wide planning tool that takes a comprehensive approach to help build world-class communities and a public realm that meets the needs of the people of Abu Dhabi. The PRDM was organized into four categories: parks, streetscapes, coastal areas and public places. The guidelines are focused on creating diverse public parks and civic spaces; an interconnected system of public walkways; bicycle trails and public transit; a vibrant and active waterfront; and active mixed-use areas enhanced through high-quality architecture, streetscape design and public art.
